Valerie and Pam are both working artists who have lived in the Comox Valley over 17 years. We’ve known Penny McCullough and Lea Mann (former Leapenhi Paper Design owners) for most of that time and like you, have been enthusiastic Leapenhi customers for ages. Since June 2008, we operated South Hollow Art Studio & Gallery at another, much less visible location. Last October, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase Leapenhi from retiring Penny and Lea, which allowed us to both move our art gallery to Downtown Courtenay as well as continue the Leapenhi concept we all know and love (thank you, Penny and Lea!).

Val’s primary creative focus is on leaf printing and photography, while Pam works mainly on papier mache, sculpture and painting. Our formal training is in fine arts and art education, so as time goes by we hope to share some of our knowledge with you. We also hope to gain knowledge from you and your experience with the handmade papers and other Leapenhi products as up to now we haven’t had extensive experience with these materials. Your expertise and input will be greatly appreciated!
